First report on novel fluorescent probes and their multiplexing for easy detection of multiple target active proteases
Contributed in developing a “Breakthrough Technology” for Multiplex fluorescent activity-based protein profiling for identifing active α-glycosidases / other hydrolases in saffron and other plants. Plant Chemetics Lab led by Prof. Renier A L. van der Hoorn at University of Oxford is the only pioneer laboratory at global level that uses ABPP in plant studies. We uncovered massive changes in hydrolase activities in corms upon infection with Fusarium oxysporum, a disease of immense challenge for Kashmir saffron industry [Plant Physiology (2018), 177: 24-37]. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29555787/
